INDUSTRY:

The oil and gas industry are the important sectors in Trinidad and Tobago’s economy. Recent new discoveries and increased foreign investment are helping this sector to increase growth. Trinidad also has the world's largest deposits of asphalt.

The agricultural sector is small producing sugar cane, coffee, teak, horticultural products, cocoa and citrus fruits. There is also a manufacturing sector producing fertilisers, tyres, clothes, soap and furniture.

The Government has activley encouraged investment in the tourism industry which has experienced steady growth.
