INDUSTRY:

Grenada had moved away from the predominantly agricultural economy towards tourism and the development of an offshore financial centre. Approximately, 61% of the workforce is now employed in the service industry.

Grenada’s agricultural industry produces quarter of the world’s nutmeg production. Other crops include cocoa, bananas, citrus fruits and vegetables.

There is a small manufacturing industry mainly involved in processing agricultural products and the production of textiles, concrete, aluminium and handicrafts.
