INDUSTRY:

The Bahamas are one of the wealthiest countries in the Caribbean. The principal industries are tourism and a growing offshore financial services sector. Approximately, 40% of the workforce is employed by the tourism industry and the absence of direct taxation and the internal stability have allowed the Bahamas to become the world’s leading offshore centres.

The industrial and agricultural sectors of the economy produce rum, oil, pharmaceuticals, salt, vegetables, fruit, meat and eggs.

Deposits of aragonite and limestone are comercially exploited.

An effective tool when trading within Bahamas are credit status reports or company searches. Company information will include registration details, credit opinion, locations and financial information, where available.
